Note: This version of Anon was programmed in a hurry, and Flynn forgot to give him a voice. Anon therefore communicates via body language. This may be upgradeable in the future, but Anon isn't really that worried about not being able to talk. To him, actions speak louder than words.

Note 2: Since Anon was made by Flynn, he looks like his creator. So that he could be told apart from himself and Clu, Flynn took the easiest solution and programmed Anon with a helmet to prevent confusion. Without it, Anon appears to be Clu's clean-shaven, messy-haired and slightly older brother. As Anon rather likes being alive again and has no desire to be derezzed in a case of mistaken identity, he keeps his helmet up as much as possible.

WARNING: SPOILERS FOR TRON: EVOLUTION





Anon is a System Monitor who came into being in the User year 1989. He was created by Kevin Flynn and was intended to help Tron keep the peace. Unfortunately for Anon, he was about to get caught up in important events, the ramifications of which were far in excess of his processing power.

Shortly after Anon rezzed to the Grid, he found himself fighting off infected programs - infected by a virus named Abraxas. He witnessed Abrazas' attack on a ceremony meant to install Radia, a leader of the ISOs, as a co-administrator with Clu, and managed to temporarily chase the virus away.

After the attack, Tron ordered Anon to follow Abraxas and keep an eye on him. Anon did so, but during the chase he witnessed Clu's coup and the attack on Flynn and Tron. Anon was ambushed by the Black Guard while watching and didn't see the outcome of the fight, but he thought that Tron must have been derezzed. He defeated the Guards and escapes, which allowed Quorra to find him. She told him that she also saw the coup, and that she thinks both Tron and Flynn are dead. They parted ways after agreeing to meet at Zuse's club.

Anon and Quorra met as planned, and entered the club together. Anon wasn't particularly comfortable in the club, with its crowds and distracting noise, but managed to keep his concentration. While there, he noticed a green-lined program in a hooded coat, but wasn't sure what to make of him and his furtive body language.

While Anon and Quorra were talking to Zuse, a battleship appeared and began bombing the club. Anon and Quorra escaped on lightcycles and made their way individually to the docks, which in Anon's case meant hijacking a battle tank. They took a Solar Sailer to Arjia City, and eventually ended up at the Hub, where they saw Radia and Clu meeting. Clu told Radia that Anon was responsible for Flynn and Tron's death, and left.

Radia, of course, knew that they were there all along and called the two to her. Quorra explained that Anon was innocent, and Radia told them that Flynn had survived and a program called Gibson had helped to smuggle Flynn out of the city. Gibson, however, had been arrested and taken to the Game Grid, where he was supposed to fight until he died. Anon headed for the arena, and discovered that Anon was the same green program that he'd noticed in Zuse's club. They switched places (and Anon was a little pissed off at being tricked into it), leaving Gibson free and Anon forced to fight through several rounds of Disc Wars. Gibson rescued Anon right before he was due to fight in the last battle, using a stolen Recognizer to crash through the battle chamber and squash Anon's opponent.

The two went to Bostrom Colony, where they found more infected programs and a lot more fighting. After meeting up again, they saw Clu's battleship, the Regulator, arrive. Abraxas turned up again, and Anon and Gibson prudently legged it. They found Flynn's white lightcycle, which Gibson told Anon to take in order to get out of there.

Unfortunately, it was too late. As Anon and Gibson raced away on their lightcycles, Abraxas was waiting for them. Abraxas destroyed the road in front of them, and Gibson knocked Anon out of the way. This flung Gibson towards Abraxas, and Abraxas caught and infected him. Anon was forced to fight and derezz his friend, and he still deeply regrets what he had to do.

Alone, Anon raced for Arjia, to find it partially destroyed. He and Quorra met again at the Hub, where they witnessed Clu's speech to Radia about how he created Abraxas. Anon and Abraxas fought again, and it appeared that Abraxas was finally defeated. Anon was caught in Arjia City as the Regulator levelled it.

Anon woke to find that he'd been rescued by Kevin Flynn. Flynn upgraded Anon so that he was lit in white, not blue, and asked him to rescue Quorra from Clu.

Anon jumped on a Recognizer in order to get to the Regulator, and prevented Clu from derezzing Quorra. He also had his final showdown with Abraxas, who unfortunately survived, and destroyed both the virus and the ship in the process. He picked up an unconscious Quorra, carrying out his last task, and got them both onto the side of a Recognizer in order to get away from the exploding ship. The Recognizer malfunctioned, throwing them both to the ground, and then fell toward them. Anon pushed Quorra clear, but got caught under the Recognizer. He suffered severe damage, and slowly derezzed.

That's Anon's last memory . . . until now.
